This year VCJH did something new for our annual Rube Goldberg Competition, we went virtual! Each team worked together to create their machines at home. Once finished, they filmed a presentation explaining their masterpiece, identifying each simple machine and showing it running; they also submitted a machine diagram by the due date. Our judges were Mrs. Franklin, Mrs. Brady, and Mrs. Parkin who had the fun task of viewing all the submissions and selecting the winners.
During the post-event celebration lunch, the students shared that they liked the new format because it made the process less stressful and they could run their machine as many times as needed to get a successful run on film.
The judges want to congratulate each participant for a job well done. They enjoyed viewing the students' films and seeing the very creative machines in action!
Congratulations to our Rube Goldberg Winners!
